And there's no better place to view it all than from our chair lifts where you're high enough to take in amazing panoramic views, and low enough to spot the unique flora and fauna that make up Snowshoe's complex ecosystem.

In addition to White Tail Deer, Black Bear and the occasional Sasquatch, you could see relic from West Virginia's logging past and one of the greatest inventions of the industrial revolution, the Shay locomotive. With the right timing, you can spot steam rising from the next peak as the largest Shay still in existence travels from Cass Scenic Railroad to Bald Knob. Then, you can hop off the lift at Shaver's Lake where another world of summer adventure and relaxation await.
